Gadi habumugisha

MY STORY

Gadi’s journey into photography began at Imbabazi Orphanage in Rwanda, where he participated in the “Through the Eyes of Children” project, giving orphans the opportunity to document their lives through disposable and digital cameras. His photography was exhibited at the United Nations in New York to mark the 10th anniversary of the Rwandan Genocide. Gadi remains deeply involved in Rwanda’s photographic community, teaching photography to vulnerable children globally and working as a photographer for The Photo Project, which brings portrait photography to remote areas. He also collaborates with various NGOs in Rwanda and abroad to document their work. Gadi’s photography has been featured in prominent publications such as The New York Times, PBS News Hour, and TIME Magazine. My Story
